English classes for Homeschoolers grades 4-12.

Christie is a 42 year veteran English teacher who has taught in public, private, and homeschool venues. Currently she offers once a week classes in her home in Bellingham, Washington for kids in grades 4-12. She’s known for making learning a joy and for encouraging kids to love writing. Her classes meet on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for 90 minutes with homework for the week.

Speaking to Christian Groups

For over 25 years, Christie has been speaking to Christian women’s retreats and special events all over the United States through her ministry FRESH LOOK THINKING. Audiences love her humor, her practical, personal and powerful messages, her transparent walk with the Lord, her love for the Bible, and how real she is as she shares.
She also offers SPEAKER TRAINING WORKSHOPS. Next workshop July 20-21, 2023

Books to Encourage,
Challenge and Inform!

Christie loves to write! She has written thirteen books and quite a few devotionals. She started out writing five travel books for the State of Washington (Travel Guides for the Curious). Her joy is writing short devotionals which make great gifts. Most of these come from her speaking opportunities.

Recently, she expanded her writing to longer devotionals, books on weight issues, a marriage book for women in difficult marriages, and four novels. In addition to these book, she has written six made-for-TV screenplays and over 15 Stage Plays for kids.

Her novel all have themes: preparing for heaven, seeing how you are enough in the Lord, being comforted through your grief, and healing from trauma.
